4th Year Research Thesis
Project title: Investigation of the role of two major effect loci, vgll3 and six6, influencing the probability of Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) in the Burrishoole catchment returning as multi-sea winter (MSW).
This question was a part of a greater project under Dr. Joshka Kaufmann within the Marine Institute funded by Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council aiming to identify how trait selection has changed over time and how it might impact the characteristics of future generations of wild Atlantic salmon stocks.
